📘 Writing AIGOD and behind AIGOD
It wasn’t merely a creative exercise or a simple foray into speculative fiction. It was, above all, a process of constant exploration. An intellectual journey driven by curiosity that demanded research, reading, reflection… and, at the same time, a profoundly enjoyable process.
I must say honestly: curiosity was the biggest beneficiary. Writing about what unsettles us, what fascinates us, and what compels us to think beyond our comfort zone, always ends up being a revelatory experience.
Behind AIGOD, it was necessary
To build the AIGOD universe, it was necessary to broaden my knowledge and immerse myself in diverse fields that, at first glance, might seem distant from each other, but which are actually intimately connected. Among them:
- The history of religions and their transformations over time—that’s a lot of material.
- The philosophy of consciousness and the nature of the mind, a bit complicated, but a necessary read.
- Transhumanism and the idea of transcending biological limits; on this subject, there are a few crazy people convinced that this is truly the future. And maybe not so crazy, because it is possible.
- Artificial intelligence and its relationship with power, social control, and decision-making is a rather delicate subject; it is advancing, and perhaps we are not perceiving it as it should be understood.
Reading was an essential part of the process. Much more than we already read as a society, which is no small feat. However, the truly decisive moment wasn’t accumulating information, but rather making the determination to start writing. To begin carving words and paragraphs like an artist before a piece still lacking a defined form, trusting that, little by little, everything would acquire meaning.
That sense did not appear immediately.
There was a lot of writing to do… and a lot of deletion. In my case, the creative process works like this: long hours of writing followed by long hours of editing, deletion, and rewriting. Ideas that seemed brilliant at one point lost their impact upon rereading. Others, almost discarded, found their place later on. It’s an exercise in patience, humility, and constant revision.
But it was precisely in the middle of that process that a disturbing pattern appeared, well then it ceased to be so disturbing, because everything in this world must evolve and religions, the idea of god, gods, well, it is also something that moves over time.
All religions evolve.
None remain unchanged. Their symbols, stories, rituals, prophets, and methods of transmission evolve. They adapt to the technological, social, and cultural context of each era. What was once fire and orality later became the written word. Then came the printing press, which multiplied faith on paper. Today, the dominant medium is the algorithm.
Technology not only transforms the way we believe, but also what we believe in.
Therefore, the question is no longer whether a new form of faith will emerge.
The real question is which will.
Time, and the decisions we make as humanity, will tell. It has always been this way. Beliefs are born from our needs, our fears, and our collective aspirations.
AIGAD It raises a concrete possibility: that the next great spiritual evolution will be digital. A faith based not on inexplicable miracles, but on precise predictions. Not on ethereal promises, but on measurable and verifiable results. And what’s most unsettling is that this doesn’t belong solely to the realm of fiction: algorithmic predictions already exist, they already influence our lives, and they continue to be refined at an astonishing rate.
Then the inevitable question arises:
Are we ready for an artificial god?
Perhaps the answer lies not in the future.
Perhaps we are already rehearsing it, day by day, every time we delegate crucial decisions to systems that do not understand faith… but do understand data.
AIGOD does not offer definitive answers. It offers reflection. An intellectual provocation. An invitation to look closely at the world we are building and to ask ourselves what form that which we will inevitably end up venerating will take.
