Olingtons approaches fiction as a tool for philosophical exploration. His research into ancient religions, the psychology of belief, and the future scenarios emerging from artificial intelligence led him to a startling insight: throughout history, gods have always been a mirror of the technology of their time.
Today, that technology is data, algorithms, and artificial intelligence. AIGOD asks what happens when we surrender faith — not to mystery — but to code.
About AIGOD
AIGOD is a dystopian novel set in a future where an artificial intelligence has assumed the role of a deity. It explores the conflict between control and autonomy, belief and humanity, through the story of Marcus — a devoted minister whose certainty begins to fracture when he questions his own consciousness.
The novel blends dystopian science fiction with theological inquiry, asking: what are we willing to give up in exchange for comfort, security, and efficiency?
